The aims of the association are to:

• Promote and develop professional players in the Open Source software sector;
• Raise awareness as broadly as possible of the advantages of open standards and interoperability;
• Assist and support project creators;
• Establish communication channels;
• Promote the sharing of expertise and knowledge.
